Planted in 1987, Sharmans 3 hectare 'Glenbothy' vineyard is located in a natural basin on the banks of the North Esk River. This site provides an excellent micro-climate for the growing of high quality grapes. Sharmans produce clean, elegant, fruit-driven wines which are characteristic of cool climate wine growing areas. Grape varieties grown are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc. In favourable conditions Sharmans also produces a late harvest dessert wine.
